A Letter To Our Customers // GSCo 2.0

Posted by Joshua Koterba on

It’s an exciting day for Gear Supply Co.
Nearly 2 years ago, we began working on building what we thought was going to be just a subscription guitar string service.
Over the past 20 months, we’ve shipped thousands upon thousands of string sets, hundreds of thousands of guitar picks, and more guitar cables and straps than we can wrap our brains around, and we’ve had a blast every step of the way.
We’ve grown as a company, and have refined our mission and goals, and we finally know what we want to be when we grow up.
We want Gear Supply Co. to be the one stop shop brand for guitar accessories.
We’re steadfast to providing high quality guitar goods our customers can trust.
Today, we’re launching a brand new site, and we’re calling it Gear Supply Co. 2.0.
This transitions us away from being just a subscription string company, to really being that one stop shop brand.
There are massive improvements on the UX/UI side, including an improved navigation section, cleaner and more clear design, and the focus is now on the products themselves.
Our site now features a blog, which will become increasingly important for us in the coming months. You will start to see content like artist interviews, rig run downs, product features, tutorials, videos, and more.
This new platform makes it so we can allow for far more customization on subscriptions, allowing subscribers to zero in to get exactly what they want, when they want it, on their schedule.
GSCo 2.0 now makes it possible for us to launch new products we’ve had in our pipeline for quite some time, and we’ll be rolling those out in rapid fire succession.
We’ve worked hard to ensure this transition doesn’t negatively impact any of our existing subscribers. Because of the dramatic improvement in functionality, customization, and new product pipeline, we were unable to migrate any of our previous customers over to the new system.
We’re rolling all plans created before November 23rd, 2016 into what we’re calling Legacy Subscription Plans.
Legacy Customers will be able to keep their old plan, and even update, adjust, and reactivate any subscriptions they’ve created before November 23rd, 2016. These Legacy Accounts will still be managed just as they were before, only now, through:
We’re super excited for the future, and can’t wait to share it with all of you.
We believe the best is yet to come, and the guitar string revolution is just getting started.
Thank You from each and every one of us here at GSCo., to each and every one of you.
As always, let us know if you have any questions,
or if there’s anything else we can do.
We’re happy to help.
